COVID-19 Testing

Testing is a critical tool in the fight against COVID-19. It helps diagnose current infections, minimizes transmission, and better protects communities. Campus members are encouraged to take advantage of the robust testing options available in the Atlanta and Covington communities.

Student Testing Options

Testing for Symptomatic Students

All students are encouraged to use at home COVID-19 testing. Available at pharmacies, grocery stores, and delivery options. Students may schedule appointments in the Student Patient Portal to be seen for concerning symptoms or call our front office at 404.727.7551.

Oxford students who are symptomatic should call the Oxford Student Health office at 770.784.8376 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to schedule a diagnostic test.

For after hours and weekends, call 404.727.7551 and press 0 for the medical advice nurse.

Testing Resources

Testing Kiosks

Emory has partnered with DeKalb County for three Test-and-Go kiosks near campus, which are available to all community members. Each kiosk can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can hold up to 700 COVID-19 PCR tests. Registration requires participants to enter insurance information but does not prevent anyone from accessing them if they are uninsured.

Test-and-Go Kiosk Locations
  • Emory Point: Surface parking lot next to the CVS on Clifton Road
  • Emory Bookstore: Oxford Road in front of the Emory Bookstore
  • Oxford College: Whatcoat Street Building (Oxford Mail Center)

RADx Program

Emory University participates in an NIH-funded research program called the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) program. This program is charged with expanding access to COVID-19 tests that are fast and accurate. RADx participants receive a free PCR test and a gift card for their time. Participants must be symptomatic and should schedule their appointments in advance.
