The Emory Buddhist Community celebrates Bodhi Day to remember the occasion of Buddha's enlightenment. Bodhi means Wisdom, Insight, Enlightenment. Bodhi Day is celebrated in the first week of December in Mahayana tradition, especially in the Japanese school of Buddhism. Emory Bodhi Day Celebration is a time for intentional community and wholesome interaction with mindfulness, recitation, reflections and a vegetarian dinner.
